The ending is emotinally beauftiful, brilliantly paced and set up, and absolutely unforgettable. Some moments can be quite surprising by their reality, especially in contrast to the fantasy the game is able to provide, and unlike most games, can cause a tear or two to be shared with your friend or partner, as the reality of this fantasy comes to light. The game is family friendly for the most part, but ocasionally throws in light-hearted adult humor that never fails to get a laugh from you. It's very much like if Toy Story, in the way that toys are alive and have expressive and adorable individual personalities. From snowball fights, to parkour towers to rollercoasters for you to use. Some levels feel like whole open-world environments with so much going on, like watching a real living miniture city play around you, with even more minigames, puzzles and references all the way through. The story is a beautiful juxtaposition of happy and saddening moments, mixed with entertaining, stimulating and humerous moments every step of the way. Puzzles were always introduced naturally and got more complicated, new mechanics were constantly introduced and explained thoroughly and allowed freedom for you to use the abilities to their fullest. It Takes Two is a perfect example of "Perfection is a lot of little things, done right". From funny video game references, to tiny easy to miss details and easter eggs that really catch you out and make you laugh, to competitive minigames scattered throughout that are just as fun as the game itself. I found the story, level design, jokes and puzzles were all light hearted, but real, relateable and most of all, interesting every step of the way. It Takes Two was by far my favourite game of 2021 and currently remains my favourite game of all time. Reasons: Favourite Storytelling & Multiplayer with Best All-Round Experience Even bloopers are secretly added. My Top 10 Favourite Games of All Time Number 1: It Takes Two by Hazelight Studios Each of those voices really fits each of the characters making them very special and memorable. But mostly it's Milla who has fewer boss battles in the end. Not just those the 3 characters have their own fighting style but they both got each of their different perspectives of their own story, some have different levels, some have different dialogs and some have different boss battles to beat. While Milla is locked unless I progress throughout the game. The Adventure mode has the right to either play as Lilac or Carol. But one of the real reasons that I really need to play is the Adventure mode. Especially when I face Lord Brevon three times. It was very stressful to repeat a level that I can't beat but that is what makes the game very challenging. Levels were absolutely difficult and challenging both at the same time depending on which character you are playing even in normal mode. Lilac uses his dragon power ability, Carol with her agile melee attacks, and Milla with a small cube that can be used to blast, shield, and shield blast the attack. This is already like playing the Sonic game but with the use of the three Freedom Planet characters each with their own fighting style. One of my favorite songs is "Final Boss 2". Most of the levels in the game really fit into the song of choice. Freedom Planet is the best non-Sonic game that you really need to play! It showed absolute great potential and lived its expectations for the Sonic fans. If you are a huge fan of the Sonic Franchise. ![]()
